Danielle Owczarski: Danielle's appreciation and respect for nature began at a young age; originally from North Adams, Massachusetts, she grew up exploring the hills of the Berkshires and hiking Mount Greylock. Deciding in 2003 that she wanted to broaden her knowledge of the natural world, she moved to Vermont and attended Johnson State College, earning a biology degree as a Field Naturalist. Danielle currently spends her days studying the natural lanscape working towards a master's degree in the Field Naturalist Program at the University of Vermont. She previously worked as a ski patroller at Smugglers Notch Resort in the winter and during the summer months as a Environmental Technician for the State of Vermont and the U.S. Forest Service in Oregon. While working at Green River Reservoir State Park, Danielle published a Natural Field Guide and was responsible for a photographic inventory of the park's flora. She has a keen eye for detail and an insatiable thirst for natural history. |
